Effective Immediately: To help promote positive behavior, good work habits and citizenship in our classroom, a procedure has been change in the classroom. (As informed in class on Monday Jan.4th)
Student have been getting behavior "marks" for behaviors that do not display their best efforts. These marks include 1) Talking out of turn, 2) Out of seat, 3) Forgetting homework, 4) Disrespect, 5) Missing Materials, and 6) Off task.
Students begin the week with the privileges to attend both "THRILLING THURSDAY" (outside weather permitting or activities in the classroom); as well as "LUNCH BUNCH" where they eat in the classroom on Fridays. By Thursday, If they receive a total of FOUR "marks" for the behaviors listed above, they will need to WRITE A LETTER to a parent / guardian explaining their behavior, and what they are going to do to correct this behavior in the future. This paper needs SIGNED by an adult and returned by FRIDAY.
Hopefully this procedure will ensure that ALL students will continue to display positive behaviors and put forth their best effort into their fifth grade education here at Three Oaks.
